Quality & continuing education
Photonics is a key enabling technology, and the study field is important to society in order to fulfill the Sustainable Development Goals for e.g. better health, sustainable energy, sustainable cities and climate. Therefore, DTU offers several courses and study programmes which include a wide range of photonics research areas.
However, Quality Education is one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals that are part of the development agenda for sustainable development until 2030. The aim of the study programmes and courses is to educate national and internationally highly qualified engineers with the competencies to carry out research, development, planning and analysis tasks.
In the field of photonics, the focus is on:
- Communication technology for sustainable and efficient digitalization of society
- Green and sustainable energy saving solutions
- New bio and healthcare methods
- Future quantum computing.
